Connect n8n to Autoview

n8n is a node-based workflow automation tool, self-hosted or on n8n Cloud, that chains triggers, logic, and HTTP calls together without writing a full application. If your trading signal comes from somewhere more complex than a single chart alert, a scheduled script, a webhook from another service, a filter over multiple conditions, an n8n workflow can compute it and fire the resulting command straight at Autoview's webhook.

What n8n is and who builds with it

n8n is popular with developers and technically-minded traders who want to combine multiple data sources or steps before a trade fires, things a single charting-platform alert can't express on its own. A workflow can watch several triggers, run a calculation node, call another API, and only then send the order, all without a server of its own to maintain.

How an n8n workflow reaches Autoview

Add an HTTP Request node as the last step in your workflow. Set its method to POST and its URL to your Autoview webhook. Under Body, choose the Raw content type, set Content-Type to text/plain, and put your command in the body field:

# Text command
s=BTCUSDT b=buy q=1 t=market

# JSON body (Content-Type: application/json)
{"alert": "s=BTCUSDT b=buy q=1 t=market"}

Both work. JSON is the one to reach for if you'd rather leave the HTTP Request node's Body Content Type on its default (JSON) instead of switching it to Raw: wrap the same command in {"alert": "..."} and send it as-is.

Because the body field accepts n8n expressions, you can build the command from data computed earlier in the workflow instead of hardcoding it:

s={{ $json.symbol }} b=buy q={{ $json.quantity }} t=market

Test with d=1 appended to the command first. Autoview logs the order it would have placed without sending it to the exchange, so you can confirm the expression built the string you expected before any real order goes out.

What you can trade once connected

An n8n workflow can drive any exchange Autoview supports: forex through OANDA, futures through Tradovate, US stocks through Alpaca, TradeStation, or Schwab, and more than a dozen crypto exchanges including Kraken, Bybit, OKX, Coinbase, and Crypto.com. See the full list on the guides hub.

Other ways to send Autoview a signal

The same command format works from TradingView, Zapier, your own code, or an AI agent talking to Autoview directly. See every intake surface on the signal sources page.
