Autoview vs 3Commas
3Commas retired its entire v1 platform on September 11, 2026. Every v1 user was moved to a new v2 platform, built in partnership with WunderTrading, and none of it happened automatically. If you're one of those users, you already faced a rebuild, which makes now a fair moment to look at what you rebuilt, and whether 3Commas v2 is the only place worth pointing it. If you're weighing a 3Commas alternative instead of settling back in, this is that comparison.
What the migration actually required
3Commas set the v1 shutdown date at September 11, 2026, and held to it: v1 accounts stopped working and stopped being charged that day. In the run-up, the two platforms ran side by side so users could move on their own schedule rather than all at once, but that window is closed now. Moving meant creating a v2 account with a promo code sent by email, which also carried over any 3Commas subscription time still remaining on the v1 side. 3Commas documented the mechanics in "3Commas V2: Everything You Need to Know" and "Moving from 3Commas v1 to 3Commas v2".
The part that mattered most for automation: exchange API keys did not carry over. Every exchange connection had to be set up again from scratch inside v2. If you had bots, DCA setups, or grid strategies running against a connected exchange, that connection broke on migration and had to be rebuilt by hand, one exchange at a time. If you reconnected in v2 and never went back to your exchange account, the old v1 key may still be sitting there, live and unused. Revoke it there rather than leaving it dangling: an unused key is one more credential an attacker could try, for no benefit to you now that v1 no longer trades on it.
v1 versus v2, dated
| Feature | 3Commas v1 | 3Commas v2 | Autoview |
|---|---|---|---|
| Available since Sept 11, 2026 | No, deactivated | Yes, the only platform running | N/A, not part of this migration |
| Strategy/bot transfer | N/A | Not automatic, rebuilt by hand in v2 | N/A, connects independently of 3Commas |
| Exchange API keys | Revoke on your exchange if still unused | Reconnected fresh via email promo code | Connected directly, no 3Commas dependency |
| Billing | Stopped at deactivation | Remaining v1 time carried over | Flat per exchange, unaffected by this migration |
| Regions/venues | Per 3Commas' own listing | Adds Hyperliquid, multi-exchange, multi-API | 22+ exchanges and brokers, see autoview.com/platforms/ |
Why this is still a real decision point, not just a finished inconvenience
Rebuilding an exchange connection is exactly the moment switching cost drops to close to zero, and if you moved to v2 you already paid that cost once. The question now is whether v2 is where you want that connection to stay. Autoview was never part of the 3Commas migration and doesn't need one of its own: it connects directly to your exchange or broker, and the setup is identical for a brand-new user and for someone who just finished rebuilding after a different platform's shutdown.
3Commas v2's headline new feature is HyperLiquid support, alongside multi-exchange and multi-API trading. Autoview already runs HyperLiquid today, alongside more than a dozen other crypto exchanges plus forex through OANDA and Capital.com, futures through Tradovate, and stocks through Alpaca, TradeStation, and Schwab. HyperLiquid access is a fair comparison to draw even, not a gap 3Commas closed that Autoview lacked.
What Autoview does differently
3Commas is built around bot templates: DCA bots, grid bots, and signal bots that follow a preset structure. Autoview runs the strategy you already wrote in TradingView, or in any tool that can fire a webhook. There's no template to fit your logic into. Your alert carries the parameters, exchange, symbol, side, quantity, and the order goes out as written, across every connected market, not just the one 3Commas happens to support that day.
Looking for a 3Commas alternative now that v1 is gone
If you rebuilt your setup in v2 and it's working, there's no urgency to change anything. But if the forced migration left you looking at other options, or you're still deciding whether v2's bot-template structure fits how you actually trade, it costs nothing to test the alternative. Autoview's paper trading is free and unlimited on every connected exchange, so you can prove a webhook fires and an order lands correctly before you commit real funds to either platform.
