Run a Deribit trading bot from alerts

Autoview · Guide · Updated October 8, 2026

A Deribit bot on Autoview has two parts. Your alerts decide when to trade. Autoview takes each alert and places the order on Deribit through its API.

The alert can come from anywhere that sends a webhook. TradingView is a common source. A Python script or another charting tool works the same way.

What you need first

A Deribit API key with trade permission, added to Autoview as the Access Key and Access Secret. The Deribit setup guide walks through it. If you want fake balances while you learn, start on the Deribit Testnet.

What an alert can send

Every order needs a side and an instrument. Without b=buy or b=sell Autoview rejects the alert. The instrument in s= has to be a Deribit instrument name, such as BTC-PERPETUAL. A name Deribit does not list comes back as an unknown symbol.

  • Market order: t=market. Autoview sends no price.
  • Limit order: the default. Autoview sends your price from p= and the order rests until it fills or you cancel it.
  • Fill or kill: t=fok. The whole order fills at once or not at all.
  • Immediate or cancel: t=ioc. Whatever fills right away stays and the rest is cancelled.
  • Post only: t=post. The order rests on the book. If your price would fill right away, Deribit moves it to just inside the spread instead of letting it take.
  • Reduce only: add ro=1 so the order can only shrink your position.
  • Iceberg: add h= to show only part of the size on the book. Deribit does not take iceberg orders on options, and the shown part has a minimum size.

A limit buy on the perpetual looks like this:

  • Webhook: s=BTC-PERPETUAL b=buy p=-1% q=10
  • Extension: e=deribit s=BTC-PERPETUAL b=buy p=-1% q=10

Sizes work differently on perpetuals and options. The setup guide explains contract sizes before you pick a q=.

Cancel orders and close positions

A bot also needs a way out. Send c= with the instrument:

  • c=order cancels your open orders on that instrument.
  • c=position closes your position on it.
  • c=all does both.

Test before it trades on its own

Add d=1 to any alert. Autoview writes the order it would place in your log and sends nothing to Deribit. When the log shows what you expect, remove d=1. The log guide shows where to look.
