Frequently Asked Questions

General & Setup

Autoview is a trading automation tool that links TradingView alerts to your exchange or broker accounts for hands-free trade execution. It offers two platforms: a Chrome extension that runs in your browser and a webhook-based web platform that operates in the cloud. By adding simple command syntax to TradingView alerts, Autoview can place buy/sell orders, manage leverage, and more on supported exchanges automatically.

First, choose between the web platform or Chrome extension. For the web platform, you'll set up a webhook in TradingView. For the extension, install it from the Chrome Web Store. Then create an Autoview account, add your API keys, and test with a demo account if needed. Finally, insert Autoview command syntax into your TradingView alerts to automate buy/sell actions.

It depends on your needs. The Chrome extension executes trades in real time and stores API keys locally, but it requires your computer and browser to stay on. The web platform runs 24/7 in the cloud and doesn't rely on your local device, though it introduces slightly more latency. Choose the extension for speed and control, or the web platform for always-on convenience.

Yes. Autoview lets you simulate trading for free using paper trading or demo/testnet accounts. There's no time limit on demo mode. Many users practice with a testnet, sandbox, or demo. Autoview also offers an unlimited free trial for simulated trading.
Using Autoview Features

You need to place Autoview commands into the “Message” field of your TradingView alerts. For example,b=buy q=50% t=market will buy 50% of your balance at market price. Autoview uses a unified syntax to support all exchanges, letting you define order side, quantity, order type, and more. When the alert triggers, the message is parsed and executed automatically.

Yes. You can addsl= for stop-loss andtp= for take-profit in your alert messages. For example,sl=9900 t=market ortp=5% will place the corresponding exit orders after an entry. You can send these as separate alerts or combine them with your entry alert.

If you are using the Chrome extension, yes—your browser and computer must stay on and connected to the internet for Autoview to catch alerts and place trades. The web platform does not require your device to be online, since alerts are sent to Autoview's cloud server.

No programming knowledge is required for basic use. You can configure alerts using simple command syntax. However, advanced strategies or dynamically generated alerts may require Pine Script or scripting in TradingView.
Pricing & Account

Autoview offers free demo access. Live trading requires a subscription, starting around $35/month. A 7-day free trial for live accounts is also available.

In addition to Autoview's subscription, you may need a paid TradingView plan (for more alerts) and some brokers may charge for API access. Exchange trading fees also still apply.
Security & Support

Yes. API keys in the Chrome extension are stored locally on your device. The web platform stores them securely in the cloud. Neither platform requests withdrawal access, ensuring funds cannot be moved without your consent.

You can access Autoview's Help Center, join their Discord community, or email support for assistance. Check the Chrome extension logs for quick debugging before reaching out.
